MUMBAI, India, Sept. 27 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202311019585 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on March 21, 2023, for 'automatic cloth washing device.'

Inventor(s) include Dr. Dinesh Arora; and Dr. Pradeep Gaur.

The application for the patent was published on Sept. 27, under issue no. 39/2024.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automatic cloth washing device comprises of an extendable platform 1 having a first and second portion 3 positioned over a fixed surface, a camera 4 mounted over the platform 1 capturing multiple images of the fabric, artificial intelligence protocol encrypted with the microcontroller for detecting dimension of the fabric, a pair of telescopic rods 5 configured beneath the platform 1 at the first portion 2 to extend for tilting the platform 1, a touch enabled screen 8 mounted over the platform 1 for enabling the user to enter command regarding requirement of a detergent solution, an electronic sprinkler configured with the vessel for sprinkling the detergent solution over the fabric, a telescopically operated brush configured over the platform 1 to extend and position the brush over the fabric and a thermal imaging unit mounted over the platform 1 to detect bacteria and germs present on the fabric."
