MUMBAI, India, May 30 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202311079846 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on Nov. 24, 2023, for 'automatic gas stove management device.'

Inventor(s) include Praveen Kumar; and Vikasdeep Mann.

The application for the patent was published on May 30, under issue no. 22/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automatic gas stove management device comprises of a rectangular extendable platform configured with plurality of suction cups 2 for adhering the frame 1 at periphery of a gas stove, an ultrasonic sensor for detecting dimension of the gas stove, a microphone 3 accessed by a user for entering voice command regarding turning ON/OFF the gas stove a pair of robotic arm 4 for turning ON the regulator and gripping a pair of conductive wires linked with a positive and negative end of a battery mounted on the frame 1 to make a contact between each of the wires as a means of creating a spark to ignite burner, a camera 5 for detecting successful ignition of burner, a speaker 6 to notify the user about successful ignition and a dirt sensor to detect dust on the gas-stove."
