MUMBAI, India, Jan. 23 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511122604 A) filed by Chandigarh University, Mohali, Punjab, on Dec. 5, 2025, for 'automatic whiteboard cleaning system using rf remote and relay logic.'

Inventor(s) include Mr. Jasmeet Singh; and Dr. Manish Sharma.

The application for the patent was published on Jan. 23, under issue no. 04/2026.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention provides an automatic, electromechanical whiteboard cleaning system designed for classrooms, offices, and conference halls. The device operates through a simple RF remote control and uses a DC motor, relay logic, and limit switches to deliver a fully automated, one-click cleaning process. A motor-driven eraser pad travels along a linear track, wiping the whiteboard surface in both directions. Limit switches positioned at the board edges enable accurate boundary detection and automatic reversal of motion, ensuring complete and safe cleaning. Unlike existing microcontroller-based systems, this solution requires no programming, making it low-cost, reliable, and easy to maintain. The system significantly reduces manual effort, enhances teaching efficiency, saves time between sessions, and ensures consistent cleanliness, contributing to improved professionalism and user convenience in educational and professional environments."
