MUMBAI, India, Jan. 23 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202521125422 A) filed by Lakshmi Narain College Of Technology, Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, on Dec. 11, 2025, for 'autonomous landslide risk assessment and mitigation system.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An autonomous landslide risk assessment and mitigation system, comprises of a body 101 equipped with a mobility unit to traverse landslide-prone terrains, an imaging module 104 mounted on an apex portion of the body 101 for capturing visual information of surrounding conditions, an extendable arm 105 with a sensing probe 106 integrated with an inspection unit to collect surface and subsurface data for real-time analysis of slope stability, an aerial monitoring assembly to provide an overhead perspective, a debris shifting arrangement to handle and relocate heavy stones or debris in affected regions, a controlled stone breaking arrangement to fragment large stones into manageable pieces, an anchor installation arrangement to support drilling and placement of anti-landslide anchors and protective barriers, and a control unit to coordinate all operations and process collected data."
