MUMBAI, India, May 1 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611025373 A) filed by Rayat Bahra University; Rayat Bahra Professional University; and Bahra University, Greater Mohali, Punjab, on March 3, for 'autonomous umbrella maintenance device.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An autonomous umbrella maintenance device, comprises of a housing 101 equipped with a plurality of motorized wheels 102 for autonomous movement over a surface, a touch-interactive display panel 103 to provide input regarding maintenance cycles of an umbrella, an AI-powered inspection unit to detect and analyze umbrella damage, and generate real-time alerts to the user, a drying unit to provide warm airflow for rapid and uniform umbrella drying, a cleaning unit to clean umbrella surfaces, a UVC sterilization unit 114 to sanitize umbrella surfaces after drying or cleaning, a plurality of fans 106 to generate adjustable airflow for uniform drying of umbrella surfaces, a plurality of iris-controlled airflow conduits 107 to direct airflow precisely to each umbrella panel and a plurality of solenoid nozzles 109 connected with a cleaning solution tank 110 via collapsible conduits 111, to spray cleaning solution uniformly onto umbrella surfaces."
