MUMBAI, India, March 13 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611010121 A) filed by Omega Seiki Private Limited, New Delhi, on Jan. 30, for 'autonomous vehicle for passenger transportation and cargo delivery.'

Inventor(s) include Rajinder Kumar; Sourabh Kumar Geda; and Dr. Uday Narang.

The application for the patent was published on March 13, under issue no. 11/2026.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An autonomous vehicle for passenger transportation and cargo delivery, comprising a user interface communicatively coupled to the vehicle to enable multiple users to book the vehicle for personal or cargo transportation, a navigation arrangement, comprising an artificial intelligence (AI) camera 101 in conjunction with LiDAR module 102 and radar sensor 103 positioned at the front, to generate a real-time 3D map of the surroundings, multiple encoder wheels 104 and an inertial measurement unit (IMU) 105 are installed at the base to calculate distance traveled, vehicle speed, acceleration, and tilt angles, along with a GPS module 106 for real-time position tracking, a passenger-to-cargo transformation arrangement, a cargo mode transformation and security arrangement, a fragile cargo handling arrangement, and a cantilever suspension 107 integrated with the chassis to provide stability over rough terrain, enabling safe and efficient operation for both passenger and cargo transport."
