MUMBAI, India, Oct. 31 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411024804 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on March 27, 2024, for 'bathing assistive device.'

Inventor(s) include Dr. Shivani Vaid; Manisha; Harshit; and Priyanshu.

The application for the patent was published on Oct. 31, under issue no. 44/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A bathing assistive device, comprising a rectangular extendable body 1 positioned over a fixed surface, a touch interactive display panel 3 to provide command regarding bathing, an artificial intelligence based imaging unit 4 for capturing and processing images of the user, a motorized drawer arrangement 5 to provide extension to the body 1, a water reservoir 6 with an electronically operated valve 7 to dispense water, an inverted U-shaped frame 8 with a motorized sliding unit 9 to provide translation to a multi-sectioned chamber 10 that is stored with plurality of cleansers, a primary electronic nozzle 11 to dispense user-specified cleanser, a motorized soft brush 12 by means of a telescopic link 13 to position the brush 12 over the user's body 1, a plate 14 plurality of secondary electronic nozzles 15 to spray water over the user's body 1 in order to rinse the user's body 1."
