MUMBAI, India, Nov. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202531011166 A) filed by Siksha O Anusandhan, Bhubaneswar, Orissa, on Feb. 10, for 'bathing assistive device.'

Inventor(s) include Dr. Manoranjan Das.

The application for the patent was published on Nov. 28, under issue no. 48/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A bathing assistive device, comprising a platform 101 positioned on a bathing area, a microphone 102 integrated in the platform 101 for enabling a user to provide input voice commands, a speaker 103 installed on the platform to produce audio signals for the user, a cuboidal body 104 installed on the plate via a two-axis slider 105, an electronically controlled spout 106 configured with a container 201 to dispense liquid onto the user's back, a motorized roller 107 installed on the body for unwrapping the towel, a cylindrical chamber 108 arranged on the body 104 for storing a talcum powder, and configured with motorized iris lids to get opened, followed by activation of an electromagnetic spring 109 integrated in between the body 104 and chamber 108, to expand and contract, for providing a back and forth motion to the chamber 108 for dusting the powder on the user's back."
