MUMBAI, India, May 30 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517034757 A) filed by Lg Energy Solution Ltd., Seoul, Republic of Korea, on April 9, for 'battery abnormality diagnosis device and operation method thereof.'

Inventor(s) include Yoon Sung Yul; Kim In Sik; Lee Jeong Bin; Kim Soon Jong; Kim Won Kyung; Kwon Ki Wook; and Song Young Seok.

The application for the patent was published on May 30, under issue no. 22/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A battery abnormality diagnosis device according to an embodiment disclosed in the present document may comprise: an acquisition unit which acquires voltage state of charge (SOC) profiles of a plurality of battery units; an identification unit which identifies a designated first number of ranks of the plurality of battery units on the basis of the voltage SOC profiles; and a diagnosis unit which diagnoses abnormalities in the plurality of battery units on the basis of changes in the ranks."
