MUMBAI, India, Aug. 22 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517072575 A) filed by Ningde Amperex Technology Limited, Fujian, China, on July 30, for 'battery cell and electric device.'
Inventor(s) include Zhang, Guowen.
The application for the patent was published on Aug. 22, under issue no. 34/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Embodiments of the present application relate to the technical field of batteries, and provide a battery cell and an electric device. The battery cell comprises a casing and a pressure relief mechanism; a first through hole is formed in the casing; the pressure relief mechanism covers the first through hole, and comprises an adhesive film; and the adhesive film can be heated and melted to form a pressure relief channel communicating the interior and the exterior of the casing. The thermal sensitivity of the pressure relief mechanism is good, so that the pressure relief reliability is high, and the safety of the battery cell can be improved; and compared with a pressure relief structure provided with a scoring groove, the present embodiment does not need to reserve a large space, so that the structure of the electric device is more compact, and costs of preparing the pressure relief mechanism are lower."
The patent application was internationally filed on Aug. 02, 2023, under International application No.PCT/CN2023/110827.
