MUMBAI, India, Sept. 12 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202544019145 A) filed by Shenzhen Hithium Energy Storage Technology Co. Ltd.; and Xiamen Hithium Energy Storage Technology Co. Ltd., Shenzhen, Guangdong, on March 4, for 'battery module and energy storage system.'
Inventor(s) include Yaqiang Ma; and Yu Li.
The application for the patent was published on Sept. 12, under issue no. 37/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The disclosure discloses a battery module and an energy storage system. The battery module comprises a battery pack and a collection device, wherein the battery pack comprises a plurality of battery cells arranged along a first direction, each battery cell comprises a top cover and an explosion-proof valve disposed on the top cover, and the first direction is parallel to a thickness direction of the battery cell. The collection device arranged on the top covers of a plurality of battery cells comprises a device body with a collection cavity inside, and the collection cavity comprises an accommodating space and a flow guiding space communicating with each other. The device body comprises a bottom wall facing the top cover and a top wall opposite to the bottom wall. The bottom wall is provided with a plurality of weak portions spaced apart along the first direction. The positions of a plurality of weak portions correspond one-to-one with the positions of the explosion-proof valves of a plurality of battery cells. The surface of the top wall facing the bottom wall is provided with a flow guiding portion located within the flow guiding space. The flow guiding portion is used to guide the thermal medium entering the flow guiding space toward the accommodating space."
