MUMBAI, India, May 30 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517043884 A) filed by Lg Energy Solution, Ltd., Seoul, Republic of Korea, on May 6, for 'battery module top cover structure.'
Inventor(s) include Lee, Junghoon; Jung, Hyemi; Park, Minsoo; Kim, Kwangmo; and Yun, Hyun Seop.
The application for the patent was published on May 30, under issue no. 22/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention provides a battery module structure comprising: a battery cell stack; a housing, which has an open top and accommodates the battery cell stack; and a top cover for covering the top of the housing, wherein the top cover includes a first layer formed from a rigid body, a second layer formed from a flexible body and stacked on the first layer, a venting hole penetrating the first layer in the vertical direction, and a slit, which penetrates the second layer in the vertical direction and is not circular, and the first layer and the second layer are fixed to each other along at least one portion of a section of an edge part."
