MUMBAI, India, Sept. 12 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517080304 A) filed by Lg Energy Solution, Ltd., Seoul, Republic of Korea, on Aug. 25, for 'battery pack.'
Inventor(s) include Hwang, Sung Tack.
The application for the patent was published on Sept. 12, under issue no. 37/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to a battery pack that is capable of efficient cooling and fire extinguishing without reducing space utilization. The battery pack according to the present invention comprises: a battery module including a plurality of secondary batteries; a case that stores a plurality of battery modules; a cover coupled to the case; at least one cooling block disposed inside the cover and in contact with the case so as to cool the battery modules; and a cooling pipe coupled to the cooling block and through which a refrigerant moves, wherein the cooling block includes a fire extinguishing liquid disposed in a space formed therein, and the fire extinguishing liquid may move into the interior of the cooling pipe at a preset temperature or higher so as to be discharged to the outside of the cooling pipe."
