MUMBAI, India, Aug. 8 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202441007786 A) filed by Jain, Bangalore, Karnataka, on Feb. 5, 2024, for 'batting practice device.'

Inventor(s) include Dr. Somasekar Reddy.

The application for the patent was published on Aug. 8, under issue no. 32/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A batting practice device, comprising a telescopically operated L-shape frame 1 positioned on a ground surface, a flexible sheet 2 arranged on the frame 1, providing a slope to allow the user to strike a ball through a bat held by user, a display panel 3 installed on frame 1 allowing user to select the mode of training, a roller 4 assembled wrapped with sheet 2 for tightening and loosening of sheet 2, imaging unit 5 installed on frame 1 to detect the height and positioning of the user, a hinge joint 6 configured with a plank 7, mapped on frame 1 to adjust as per the height of the user with the guidance of an angle sensor placed on frame 1, a projection unit 8 installed on frame 1 guiding user to attain a right posture while practicing."
