MUMBAI, India, May 30 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202527035577 A) filed by Beijing Xiaomi Mobile Software Co. Ltd., Beijing, on April 11, for 'beam application method and apparatus storage medium and chip.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present disclosure relates to a beam application method and apparatus a storage medium and a chip. The method comprises: a relay device determining a target beam in response to having received a first message which is sent by a network device; determining beam time domain information which corresponds to the target beam; and applying the target beam within an application time which is determined according to the beam time domain information wherein the target beam is a beam applied to a transmission link between the relay device and a terminal device and the target beam comprises one or more beams or one or more beam groups. In this way a relay device can flexibly use a target beam according to beam time domain information thereby more effectively improving coverage performance by means of the target beam."
