MUMBAI, India, July 25 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517065561 A) filed by Interdigital Patent Holdings Inc., Wilmington, U.S.A., on July 9, for 'beam focusing.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Described herein are systems, methods, and instrumentalities associated with c under near field conditions. Channel station information (CSI) reporting under these conditions may be performed based on partial CSIs associated with respective parts of an antenna array. CSI reference signals (CSI-RSs) for the CSI reporting may be bundled and an indication may be provided to a wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) to indicate whether the WTRU is under the near field conditions."
