According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Disclosed in the embodiments of the present application are a beam indication method and apparatus, the method comprising: according to a first rule, determining the index information of at least one beam on an access link, the first rule being at least one of the following: a repeater determining the index information of the at least one beam, a network device determining the index information of the at least one beam, and the repeater and the network device determining the index information of the at least one beam according to a second rule, such that the network device and the repeater can determine a mapping relationship between the logical indexing of beams and each actual physical beam. Therefore, a network device and a repeater can determine the indexing of beams on an access link, thus helping to perform subsequent beam-based communication, and further effectively improving the system communication efficiency and increasing system coverage."
