MUMBAI, India, Sept. 12 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202441016570 A) filed by Hindustan Aeronautics Limited, Bengaluru, Karnataka, on March 7, 2024, for 'bearing ring assembly for landing gear attachment to helicopter structure.'

Inventor(s) include Bhupendra Kumar Sahu; and Nagesh N.

The application for the patent was published on Sept. 12, under issue no. 37/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A bearing ring assembly (100) for a helicopter skid landing gear, the bearing ring comprising a bearing ring (1) made from single block metallic forged alloy, with circular hallow portion to assemble a cross tube (110/120) through said hallow portion, an extended plurality of horns with internal hole (15,16) to insert a bolt (11a,11b), a rubber bush (2) to provide grip between said cross tube (110/120) and said bearing ring (1), a Clamping ring (3), with open ends and provision to tighten to cross tubes by means of fastener (12) to prevent the possible slip of said bearing assembly (100) on said cross tube (110/120), plurality of structural lug (4a,4b) with L-shape crimp, bushes (5), locking plate (6) and cup washer (7) inserted/slid on to said bolts (11a,11b) of threaded end and fastened with a nut set comprising a washer (8), nut (9) and locking pin (10) and entire assembly (4a,4b) attached to helicopter frame."
