MUMBAI, India, Sept. 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411017941 A) filed by Teerthanker Mahaveer University, Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, on March 12, 2024, for 'bed lid lifting device.'

Inventor(s) include Pavan Kumar Singh.

The application for the patent was published on Sept. 26, under issue no. 39/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A bed lid lifting device, comprises of a pair of elongated extendable bodies 1 configured with a bar with each of the bodies 1 positioned on inner wall of a bed, a bar configured with each of bodies 1 to be positioned in contact with lid of bed, a user-interface installed in a computing unit accessed by a user to input commands for lifting lid of the bed, a camera 2 to detect dimensions of inner wall of the bed, a suction unit installed on each bodies 1 to generate vacuum for adhering bodies 1 and bars with inner periphery of the lid, a pneumatic unit installed between bodies 1 and bars to tilt the bars away from bodies 1 for lifting the lid and a pair of telescopically operated pushers 5 to extend and provide support to the lid for preventing chances of damage to the device."
