MUMBAI, India, Sept. 12 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517073994 A) filed by Autoliv Development Ab, Vargarda, Sweden, on Aug. 4, for 'belt tongue, manufacturing method, and seat belt system.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The invention relates to a belt tongue (10) for a seat belt, the belt tongue (10) comprising a main body (11) made of metal, and the main body (11) comprising an insertion portion (12) and a belt fastening portion (13). The main body (11) has an enamel coating (14) at least in the insertion portion (12). The invention further relates to a method for manufacturing a belt tongue (10) and to a corresponding seat belt system (20) having a belt buckle (21)."
