MUMBAI, India, May 1 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202644051242 A) filed by Vishnu Vardhan Chakravaram; and Swathi Kathera, Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, on April 22, for 'belt webbing system for sleep apnea/ cpap machine.'

Inventor(s) include Vishnu Vardhan Chakravaram; and Swathi Kathera.

The application for the patent was published on May 1, under issue no. 18/2026.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A belt webbing system (600) that goes around torso of an individual. Belt webbing system holds the hose (705) of the CPAP machine (710) at the user's desired location and thus reduces the amount of pull hose exerts on the nose, due to the mass of the hose. The belt webbing system (600) provides a convenience to the user by holding the hose (705), and the possibility to slide (100) the hose from one position on the webbing to another position. In the absence of such an arrangement, the nose becomes sore. And when the individual in sleep turns left or right, hose's nasal pillow (725) may move from its position causing air to leak."
