MUMBAI, India, July 25 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411004751 A) filed by Chandigarh University; and Chandigarh University Technology Business Incubator, Mohali, Punjab, on Jan. 23, 2024, for 'beverage can holding device for bicycles.'

Inventor(s) include Prabhjot Singh.

The application for the patent was published on July 25, under issue no. 30/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A beverage can holding device for bicycles, comprising a plate 1 manually positioned in proximity to head tube of a bicycle and configured with a cylindrical hollow body 2 for accommodating can as per a user's requirement, a camera 4 mounted on plate 1 for capturing multiple images of bicycle, a pair of motorized clamps 5 installed with the plate 1 via set of telescopically operated rods 6, a flap 8 configured with body 2 via a motorized pivot joint 9 for covering mouth portion of body 2, a microphone 10 mapped on pate for enabling user to give input commands for accessing can, a fingerprint sensor fabricated on body 2 for enabling user to feed fingerprints for verification, multiple motorized bearings 11 configured in a spiral-shaped cavity carved on inner wall of body 2 and a weight sensor is positioned within body 2 for detecting weight of can."
