MUMBAI, India, Sept. 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411019385 A) filed by Teerthanker Mahaveer University, Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, on March 15, 2024, for 'bicycle maintenance assistive device.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An bicycle maintenance assistive device comprises of a platform 1 associated with device, plurality of suction cups 2 installed beneath platform 1 for gripping surface, artificial intelligence-based image capturing module 3 installed on platform 1 to capture and process multiple images of bicycle, speaker 4 installed on platform 1 to provide voice command to user, tilt sensor linked with image capturing module 3 monitors inversion of bicycle and directs telescopic rods 6 to extend and position plate 5 in proximity to user, weight sensor integrated on plate 5 detects weight of bicycle, plurality of motorized clamps 7 installed on plate 5 to grip top tube of bicycle, motorized hinge joint configured in between platform 1 and each of bars 9 to lift bars 9 towards handle bars of cycle, pair of gripping units 8 installed on one of lateral sides of platform 1 to grip handle bars 9."
