MUMBAI, India, Sept. 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411018880 A) filed by Sanskriti University, Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, on March 14, 2024, for 'bicycle riding assistive device for cold weather conditions.'
Inventor(s) include Dr. Meenakshi Sharma.
The application for the patent was published on Sept. 26, under issue no. 39/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A bicycle riding assistive device for cold weather conditions comprises a pair of bodies 1 constructed with cuboidal members 2, a first end 3 to be accommodated over handle bars of a bicycle, a laser acuity sensor positioned on the first ends 3 for detecting diameter of the handle bars, a motorized iris lid 5 configured with first ends 3 for securing the bodies 1 with handle bars, an ultrasonic sensor positioned on the second ends 4 for detecting dimensions of user's hands, multiple primary electromagnets 6 configured with seconds ends for attracting each other, multiple Peltier units 7 for maintaining an optimum temperature within bodies 1, an accelerometer and a gyroscope sensor for detecting falling condition of the bicycle, multiple secondary electromagnets 8 configured on members 2 for generating a magnetic field and a microphone 9 give commands for taking out hands from the bodies 1."
