MUMBAI, India, Nov. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202531106398 A) filed by Pushpalika Chatterjee, Hirapur, West Bengal, on Nov. 3, for 'bio-financial intelligence integration system embedded in an ai-enabled ring.'

Inventor(s) include Pushpalika Chatterjee.

The application for the patent was published on Nov. 28, under issue no. 48/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention discloses an AI-enabled wearable ring that integrates multimodal physiological sensing, artificial-intelligence computation, and financial-authentication capabilities within a compact ergonomic form factor. The device continuously acquires biometric parameters such as heart-rate variability, galvanic skin response, temperature, and motion to compute a Physiological Stability Index (PSI) representing biometric and emotional consistency. A Bio-Financial Risk Score (BFRS) is derived by correlating PSI with transactional and behavioral data to enable adaptive fraud detection, health-linked credit scoring, and dynamic insurance premium calculation. Local inference through an embedded neural-processing unit preserves privacy, while a federated-learning architecture allows cross-institutional model improvement without exposing raw data. Each authenticated transaction or health event is immutably recorded on a permissioned blockchain ledger to ensure auditability and regulatory compliance. The invention thus provides a unified bio-financial intelligence framework bridging healthcare, finance, and insurance sectors, enabling secure, real-time, and context-aware authentication and risk management."
