MUMBAI, India, Aug. 22 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517072756 A) filed by Omron Healthcare Co. Ltd., Kyoto, Japan, on July 31, for 'biological information measurement device and biological information measurement system.'

Inventor(s) include Ono, Kenji; Yasuda, Kazuma; Inoue, Kosuke; Anai, Asa; and Yasuda, Takashi.

The application for the patent was published on Aug. 22, under issue no. 34/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Provided is a biological information measurement system comprising a biological information measurement device which is provided with a first electrode, a second electrode, and a third electrode, and which measures biological information of a measurement target on the basis of a potential difference between the first electrode and the second electrode, with the potential of the third electrode as a reference potential, and an information processing terminal which communicates with the biological information measurement device, wherein the biological information measurement device has a first contact signal output means, a second contact signal output means, a contact state classification means that classifies the levels of contact states of the first electrode and the second electrode with respect to the measurement target into at least three stages on the basis of signals respectively output by the first contact detection means and the second contact detection means, and a reporting means that reports the contact states of the first electrode and the second electrode in a manner such that the levels thereof are identifiable."
