MUMBAI, India, Sept. 12 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517079859 A) filed by Omron Corporation; and Omron Healthcare Co. Ltd., Kyoto, Japan, on Aug. 22, for 'biological signal measurement device and method for controlling biological signal measurement device.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "This biological signal measurement device comprises: a dry electrode; a member that secures the electrode in a state in which the electrode is pressed against a living body; and a control body that measures a biological signal by means of the electrode. The control body has: an impedance measurement unit that measures the impedance between the electrode and the living body; and a wearing-state determination unit that determines whether the electrode is worn properly on the basis of the value of the impedance at a point in time when an elapsed amount of time, from when the electrode was put on the living body by using the member, has reached a prescribed time."

The patent application was internationally filed on Feb. 21, 2024, under International application No.PCT/JP2024/006330.
