MUMBAI, India, June 6 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202311083011 A) filed by Council Of Scientific And Industrial Research, New Delhi, on Dec. 5, 2023, for 'bisguaiacol based compounds and a process for preparation thereof.'

Inventor(s) include Sunil Sitaram Bhongale; Sanjay Pandurang Kamble; and Komal Pratap Tarade.

The application for the patent was published on June 6, under issue no. 23/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to synthetic aromatic/monomeric compounds specifically bisguaiacol based compounds. The invention relates to a process for preparation of said Bisguaiacol-F based compounds of Formula I and/or one or more of Formula IA, Formula IB or Formula IC thereof, or stereoisomer, racemate, and pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof. Further, the compounds prepared and disclosed herein are useful for production of water treatment membranes, biomedical devices, household products, automation component, fuel cell membrane, printed circuit board, and production of polymers such as polycarbonates, polyesters, polysufonates, and epoxy resins."
