MUMBAI, India, Sept. 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411018186 A) filed by Teerthanker Mahaveer University, Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, on March 13, 2024, for 'blanket draping device for transport vehicle.'

The application for the patent was published on Sept. 26, under issue no. 39/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A blanket draping device for transport vehicle, comprises of a platform 1 developed to be installed with the backrest of a seat of a transport vehicle, a first and second chambers (3, 4) housed with a primary and secondary roller (5, 6) wrapped with blankets, a microphone 7 to give voice commands for draping the blanket, a motorized hinge 8 for tilting the member 9 towards the second side portion of the platform 1, a primary curved-shaped plate 10 for adhering the primary electromagnets 11 with the magnets of the blanket, an imaging unit 12 for detecting draping of the user, a pair of primary motorized clippers 13 for griping the blanket, a secondary curved-shaped extendable plate 14 for adhering the secondary electromagnets 15 with the magnets of the blanket, and a pair of secondary motorized clippers 16 for griping the second blanket."
