MUMBAI, India, Sept. 12 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202441017382 A) filed by Hindustan Aeronautics Limited, Bangalore, Karnataka, on March 11, 2024, for 'bolt extracting tool using screw method.'
Inventor(s) include Kumar S; Narayana Murthy G; Madhukumar P; Aravinda T R; and Sathyanarayana Rao P.
The application for the patent was published on Sept. 12, under issue no. 37/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "This was done by Implementing pull methodology in too|.(5) which extracts the bolts from the stmcture or mount, whgre it is necessary to safeguard the structure and -a|so the bolt. An easy-out type bolt extractor tool (5) is combination tool wherein an extractor is combined with a holding head. The holding and extracting operation is performed during the same process. The bolt extractor tool (5) is slide-able through the center axis of the outer sleeve _ shaft (1) with the help of a shrew rod (3) enabling the inner sleeve (1) to hcild firmly the bolt atone end and pulling using screw rod (3) while rotating the screw rod in clockwise direction. A suitable holding size of bolt extractortool (5) to be designed so that the extraction will be seamless. Also, the length of the inner sleeve to be of the length of the belt extraction length."
