MUMBAI, India, Sept. 12 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411012912 A) filed by Chandigarh University; and Chandigarh University Technology Business Incubator, Mohali, Punjab, on Feb. 22, 2024, for 'bon fire ignition device.'
Inventor(s) include Kanika Sharma.
The application for the patent was published on Sept. 12, under issue no. 37/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A bon fire ignition device comprises of a platform 1 arranged with multiple telescopic legs 2 positioned on a ground surface, a cylindrical shaped member 3 attached with multiple links 4 for allowing a user to insert a wooden log, a touch interactive display panel 6 for enabling user to input details, an iris unit 7 for allowing insertion of log within member 3, a pneumatic pusher 8 for pushing evaluated portion of log within member 3, an electric ignitor 9 for igniting wood in order to create a bon fire, an extendable hollow tube 10 for exhausting out smoke, multiple filters 11 for filtering out smoke for collecting carbon traces, a thermal imaging unit 12 for detecting proper ignition of log, a timer for monitoring time period of enlightening of flame and a motorized cutter 13 for cutting off log in view of extinguishing log as desired by user."
