MUMBAI, India, June 20 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517022344 A) filed by The Trustees Of The University Of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, on March 12, for 'branched lipid compositions, lipid nanoparticles (lnps) comprising the same, and methods of use thereof.'

Inventor(s) include Mitchell, Michael J; and Padilla, Marshall Scott.

The application for the patent was published on June 20, under issue no. 25/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present disclosure provides modified immune cells or precursors thereof comprising chimeric antigen receptors and surface-bound, biologically inert molecules. Also included are methods of preparing said modified immune cells and methods of treating CAR treatment-related toxicities in subjects in need thereof comprising said modified immune cells."
