MUMBAI, India, May 1 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641049459 A) filed by Jain, Bangalore, Karnataka, on April 17, for 'brew beans storage system for conserving theobromine powder.'

Inventor(s) include Sunith Mehta; Jarek Mathew Jose; Tanisha Jiya; Jyothish K; and Kabilesh. P.

The application for the patent was published on May 1, under issue no. 18/2026.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A brew beans storage system for conserving theobromine powder comprising a plurality of moisture- absorbing desiccants that include silica gels or molecular sieves for preventing clumping, microbial growth, and degradation of theobromine for maintaining relative humidity of the powder below 30%, a plurality of oxygen-scavenger patches 103 for minimizing oxygen levels in the container 101 and slows oxidation reactions by limiting oxygen ingress even after repeated openings, an ultra violet (UV)-blocking materials 104 for mitigating light sensitivity of the powder and prevent photodegradation caused by prolonged exposure to ambient or artificial light encountered while storing the powder in non- controlled environments, and a plurality of insulating container materials 105 used for fabricating the container 101 for temperature buffering of the powder."
