MUMBAI, India, Aug. 22 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517071090 A) filed by Sensient Technologies Asia Pacific Pte Ltd., Singapore, on July 25, for 'bright natural pigments - manufacturing process, composition and cosmetic application.'
Inventor(s) include Mah, Chin Hao; Hong, Sophie; Zhao, Handong; Boulier, Virginie; and Peltier, Marianne.
The application for the patent was published on Aug. 22, under issue no. 34/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A composition is disclosed including a natural dye, a bentonite clay substrate, maltodextrin, and an optional pH adjuster. The composition maintains color stability after storage at 28 C and 68% relative humidity for 30 days. The color stability includes maintaining one or more of an L* value, an a* value, or a b* value, as measured by reflectance visible spectroscopy at one or more wavelengths between 400 nm and 800 nm."
The patent application was internationally filed on Jan. 12, 2024, under International application No.PCT/SG2024/050030.
