MUMBAI, India, July 25 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517058873 A) filed by GB Boucherie NV, Izegem, Belgium, on June 19, for 'brush-tufting process.'
Inventor(s) include Boucherie, Bart Gerard.; and Vandenbussche, Henk.
The application for the patent was published on July 25, under issue no. 30/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A process for tufting a brush comprising a bristle carrier (10) provides that a thickening part (44) is received in a cluster of bristles (50) folded in a U-shaped form. The cluster of bristles (50) is pushed with its end thickened in this way into a hole (48). The peripheral edge (60) is then deformed to form an undercut, and the cross section of the hole (48) is reduced by at least 70% of the cross section of the thickening part (44). The thickening part (44) has the effect that the cluster of bristles (50) can no longer be pulled out of the hole (48). A brush-tufting device for carrying out the process is also described."
The patent application was internationally filed on Jan. 08, 2024, under International application No.PCT/EP2024/050312.
