MUMBAI, India, Aug. 29 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411010763 A) filed by Teerthanker Mahaveer University, Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, on Feb. 15, 2024, for 'cable management assistive device.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A cable management assistive device comprising a housing 1 configured with multiple motorized omnidirectional wheels 2 to maneuver housing 1 over surface, a touch enabled screen 3 for entering command regarding number and color of wires that require dressing along with distance at which specific wires are required, a camera 4 installed within housing 1 to detect numbers and colors of wire stored within a chamber 12 positioned within housing 1, a pair of telescopic grippers 6 suspended from apex of housing 1 to extend for gripping and transferring user-entered number and color of wires over platform 5 to form a bundle of wires, a primary robotic arm 7 for gripping free-end of bundle, a tray 8 positioned at base of housing 1 for aligning band in front of bundle, an ultrasonic sensor detecting length of band, and a secondary robotic arm 9 for clipping a user-specified wire from bundle."
