MUMBAI, India, June 27 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202341087612 A) filed by Jain, Bangalore, Karnataka, on Dec. 21, 2023, for 'cable management device.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A cable management device, comprises of a platform 1 configured with a touch interactive display panel 4 to give an input commands regarding location of a cable drum wrapped with cable that is to be lifted, a camera 8 installed with the platform 1 for detecting position of the drum, multiple omnidirectional wheels 2 configured underneath the platform 1 to maneuver the platform 1 over the ground surface in proximity of the drum, an ultrasonic sensor installed with the platform 1 for detecting dimension of the drum and position of arbor hole, a LIDAR sensor installed with the member 7, for detecting diameter of the hole, an expandable pulley arrangement for inserting within the hole of the drum, and a pair of motorized roller 9 for unrolling cable from the drum."
