MUMBAI, India, Sept. 12 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411013254 A) filed by Chandigarh University; and Chandigarh University Technology Business Incubator, Mohali, Punjab, on Feb. 23, 2024, for 'cactus leaf powder preparation device.'

Inventor(s) include Manish Kumar.

The application for the patent was published on Sept. 12, under issue no. 37/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A cactus leaf powder preparation device comprises a housing 1 installed with chamber 4 stored with cactus leaves, touch-enabled screen 2 installed on housing 1 enabling the user to give input commands regarding amount of cactus leaf powder to be prepared, primary motorized iris lid 3 is configured with chamber 4 to open for dispensing leaves on a conveyer 5, electronic nozzle 7 sprays water onto leaves within receptacle 6, motorized stirrer 10 rotates for washing leaves, pair of motorized hinges 11 configured with receptacle 6 tilt receptacle 6 to transfer washed leaves, secondary motorized iris lid 13 configured with second vessel 14 dispenses dry ice within first vessel 15 for de-moisturizing leaves, motorized blade 16 rotates for crushing de-moisturized leaves to obtain powder, multiple iris pores 17 opens for dispensing the powder in container 18, speaker 19 for notifying user to collect powder from container 18."
