MUMBAI, India, May 30 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202311079865 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on Nov. 24, 2023, for 'cake preparation assistive device.'

Inventor(s) include Neha Gupta; Ashwani K. Sharma; Bhasker Pratap Choudhary; and Navdeep Prashar.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A cake preparation assistive device, comprising a platform 1 installed with a circular plate 2 via a rod 10 for accommodating breads, a microphone 3 mapped on platform 1 for feeding command for cutting breads in a circular shape and applying a cream over breads, a camera 4 mounted on platform 1 for detecting dimensions of breads, an L-shaped extendable member 5 installed on platform 1 via a circular motorized slider 6 and configured with a metallic wire 7 for cutting breads, multiple electronic nozzles installed on member 5 and connected with a chamber 8 for dispensing cream on breads, and an extendable L-shaped flap 9 configured with platform 1 via an inverted L-shaped telescopically operated rod 10 which extends/translates along a slider 6 configured between rod 10 and plate 2 for translating flap 9 to evenly apply cream over breads via flap 9, aiding user in preparing cake."
