MUMBAI, India, March 13 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202621009368 A) filed by Marwadi University, Rajkot, Gujarat, on Jan. 29, for 'carbon-less asphalt preparation and laying device.'
Inventor(s) include Pranav Parmar; Mahavirsinh Jadav; Maitri Adroja; Mohit Parmar; and Prof. Parth Parmar.
The application for the patent was published on March 13, under issue no. 11/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A carbon-less asphalt preparation and laying device, comprising of a housing 101, a plurality of open compartments 102 to manually receive materials from a hopper 103 with each compartment 102, a user-interface to receive user inputs related to road type, dimensions, and usage conditions, and automatically configure the asphalt mixture and construction parameters accordingly, a central mixing compartment 104 to receive and uniformly mix the materials to form a carbon-less asphalt mixture, a temperature regulation unit to maintain a predefined temperature range suitable for preserving microbial viability during mixing, a motorized bitumen delivery assembly to dispense bitumen into the central mixing compartment 104 in precisely controlled quantities, a movable chassis to regulate movement of the housing 101 during asphalt laying, and a spreading assembly to dispense and level the prepared asphalt mixture uniformly over a road surface."
