MUMBAI, India, Oct. 31 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411023132 A) filed by Teerthanker Mahaveer University, Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, on March 24, 2024, for 'cargo carriage assistive device.'

Inventor(s) include Shreshta Bandhu Rastogi.

The application for the patent was published on Oct. 31, under issue no. 44/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A cargo carriage assistive device, comprising a cuboidal body 1 constructed with a pair of rectangular extendable frames 2 connected with each other via multiple telescopically operated rods 3 developed to accommodate cargo to be transported, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 4 is mounted on one of the frames 2 to detecting dimensions of the cargo, multiple motorized rollers 5 installed with first frame and wrapped with a sheet to rotate for unwrapping sheet, a pair of hooks attached with free-end of each of sheets are inserted within multiple holes 6 carved in second frame, an extendable plate 8 installed with first frame via a motorized hinge 9 that is actuated by microcontroller to extend/retract via a drawer arrangement in synchronization with extension/retraction of first frame."
