MUMBAI, India, Sept. 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517085087 A) filed by Chasm Advanced Materials Inc., Canton, U.S.A., on Sept. 8, for 'catalyst, catalyst precursor, production process, and resulting high purity and controlled morphology carbon nanotubes.'

Inventor(s) include Prada Silvy, Ricardo A.; Lageshetty, Sathish Kumar; Mccalister, Dennis; and Arthur, David J.

The application for the patent was published on Sept. 26, under issue no. 39/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A catalyst, catalyst precursor, and carbon nanotubes grown using die catalyst. The catalyst includes a. support comprising alumina and a cobalt species on a surface of the support, wherein cobalt is the sole active catalyst species for carbon nanotube growth. The support surface is iron-free."

The patent application was internationally filed on Feb. 20, 2024, under International application No.PCT/US2024/016439.
