MUMBAI, India, May 30 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202527033547 A) filed by Cataler Corporation, Shizuoka, Japan, on April 5, for 'catalyst for exhaust gas purification.'

Inventor(s) include Takasu Ryosuke; Onoe Ryota; Ohashi Tatsuya; Ito Masaya; and Onohara Yu.

The application for the patent was published on May 30, under issue no. 22/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Provided is a catalyst for exhaust gas purification which has improved NOx occluding performance in a lean atmosphere. A catalyst 100 for exhaust gas purification disclosed herein comprises a base 10 and a catalyst layer 20. The catalyst layer 20 comprises a lower layer 22 an interlayer 24 and an upper layer 26. The upper layer 26 includes Rh. The interlayer 24 at least includes Pt and an NOx occluding material. The lower layer 22 has a lower layer front portion 22a including Pd and a lower layer rear portion 22b including Pd wherein the content (CF) of Pd in the lower layer front portion 22a per liter of the base is higher than the content (CR) of Pd in the lower layer rear portion 22b per liter of the base."

The patent application was internationally filed on Aug. 24, 2023, under International application No.PCT/JP2023/030440.
