MUMBAI, India, July 5 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517055022 A) filed by Tokuyama Corporation, Yamaguchi, Japan, on June 7, for 'cathode chamber assembly in electrolytic cell unit, and electrolysis apparatus.'

Inventor(s) include Matsui, Hitoshi.

The application for the patent was published on July 4, under issue no. 27/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention provides a cathode chamber assembly in which a cathode can be easily exchanged if the cathode has been deteriorated without causing problems such as the need of skill for assembling and the formation of an undesired space in the periphery of a cathode chamber. According to the present invention, fitting of a cathode is achieved by: directly or indirectly fitting a cathode to a rib, which is formed on a partition wall, by means of a plurality of fastening screws or fastening pins in a freely attachable and detachable manner; and/or, in cases where a rectangular frame-like peripheral flange is provided so as to extend along the inner peripheral edge of the partition wall, bonding one surface of a rectangular gasket to the inner surface of the peripheral flange and bonding an adhesive tape across the inner peripheral edge of the other surface of the gasket and the outer peripheral edge of an exposed surface of the cathode."
