MUMBAI, India, June 6 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517025910 A) filed by Lg Energy Solution, Ltd., Seoul, Republic of Korea, on March 21, for 'cathode for all-solid-state battery and all-solid-state battery comprising same.'
Inventor(s) include Lee, Choonghyeon; Kwon, Hyejin; Kim, Taegon; and Song, Min Sang.
The application for the patent was published on June 6, under issue no. 23/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to a cathode for an all-solid-state battery, and an all-solid-state battery including same. More specifically, the cathode active material layer included in the cathode comprises a cathode active material, a sulfide-based solid electrolyte, and a conductive material, wherein the particle diameter of the conductive material is configured to lie between the particle diameter of the cathode active material and the particle diameter of the sulfide-based solid electrolyte, thereby increasing the interfacial area between the cathode active material and the sulfide-based solid electrolyte while reducing the overall porosity of the cathode. Consequently, the conductivity of the cathode is maintained, and the energy density of the cell is enhanced without compromising cell performance."
The patent application was internationally filed on Aug. 06, 2024, under International application No.PCT/KR2024/011570.
