MUMBAI, India, Aug. 1 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411005542 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on Jan. 27, 2024, for 'cattle hoof cleaning and maintaining device.'

Inventor(s) include Ramesh Meel; Anamol Gautam; and Meenakshi Bansal.

The application for the patent was published on Aug. 1, under issue no. 31/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A cattle hoof cleaning and maintaining device, comprises of a U-shaped frame 1 having multiple telescopic bars 2 is accessed by a user to position cattle, a LiDAR (Light Detection and Ranging) sensor installed on the frame 1 for detecting size of the cattle, a wearable body 3 connected with the frame 1 to accommodate around belly portion of the cattle, an artificial intelligence based imaging unit 5 installed on the frame 1 determines infection of any disease on the cattle's hoof, multiple L-shaped telescopic links 6 assembled on each corner of the frame 1 for extending to position a curve shaped member 7 attached with each of the links 6 adjacent to the hoof(s), and a robotic link 10 configured with a motorized clipper 11 mapped on the frame 1 for removing any uneven edges from the hoof(s)."
