MUMBAI, India, Sept. 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202341063967 A) filed by Aster Research Foundation; and Dr. Moopens Medical College Of DM Education And Research Foundation, Wayanad, Kerala, on March 23, 2024, for 'cell-encapsulated biomimetic bio-ink for 3-dimensional printing of tissue constructs and a method of preparation thereof.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention discloses a hydrogel composition for the encapsulation of primary cells such as differentiated fibroblasts and/or adult stem cells without affecting cell viability. The hydrogel composition comprises in-house synthesized Gelatin Methacryloyl (GelMA), hyaluronic acid (HA), human Fibrin (F), and human cell-free amniotic membrane particles (AMP)."
