Intellectual Property India Publishes Patent Application for 'Cellular Service Type For Bootstrap Selection' Filed by Apple Inc.

MUMBAI, India, Sept. 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517081307 A) filed by Apple Inc., Cupertino, U.S.A., on Aug. 27, for 'cellular service type for bootstrap selection.'

Inventor(s) include Padova, Jean-Marc; and Li, Li.

The application for the patent was published on Sept. 26, under issue no. 39/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An apparatus configured to determine an operation is to be performed, wherein the operation is related to a service type, determine that a current network connection does not support the operation, generate, for transmission to a bootstrap server, a request for a temporary bootstrap profile to perform the operation, wherein the request comprises an indication of the service type, process the temporary bootstrap profile and use the temporary bootstrap profile to perform the operation."

The patent application was internationally filed on Mar. 07, 2024, under International application No.PCT/US2024/018877.
