MUMBAI, India, July 25 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411004404 A) filed by Chandigarh University; and Chandigarh University Technology Business Incubator, Mohali, Punjab, on Jan. 22, 2024, for 'chain saw maintenance device.'
Inventor(s) include Amrinder Singh.
The application for the patent was published on July 25, under issue no. 30/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A chain saw maintenance device comprising an inverted L-shaped telescopic frame 1 with first 2 and second portion 3 placed nearby a chain saw, a suction cup 4 attached with first 2 portion affixing with surface to secure the frame 1, an AI 5 based imaging unit installed on the frame 1 for capturing images of chain saw, a magneto inductive sensor installed on the member 9 for detecting sharpness of blade, a file 7 assembled with robotic link 6 installed on the member 9 for filing the blade to maintain sharpness of blade, a dust sensor installed on the member 9 for detecting presence of dust particles on the blade, an electronic nozzle 10 installed on the member 9 for dispensing water to clean the dust particles and a speaker 14 assembled on the member 9 to notify the user regarding refilling of the reservoir 11."
