MUMBAI, India, June 27 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202341087336 A) filed by Jain, Bangalore, Karnataka, on Dec. 20, 2023, for 'circular serving plate handling device.'
Inventor(s) include G. Padmapriya.
The application for the patent was published on June 27, under issue no. 26/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A circular serving plate handling device, comprising a curved-shaped extendable body 1 developed to be positioned around periphery of a circular serving plate, a U-shaped handle 2 attached with the body 1 which gripped by the user for handling the body 1, a camera 3 mounted on the handle 2 for capturing multiple images of the plate in order to determine diameter of the plate, a circular disc 4 initially stored in a stowed state installed with the body 1 for providing support to the plate, an expandable pulley arrangement 6 integrated with the disc 4 for increasing/decreasing the diameter of the disc 4, a pressure sensor 8 mapped on the handle 2 for detecting pressure applied by the user while gripping the handle 2 and an air blower 11 mounted on the handle 2 for blowing air in order to eliminate moisture from the handle 2."
